Computers & Genealogy
Our library has three computers to use in genealogical research. We collaborated with the Albany Public Library in bringing access to Heritage Quest Online to our library and all of our members, as well as Albany Public Library patrons. Heritage Quest Online has census images and a large collection of books which supplement our collection. The Society also has a subscription to Ancestry.com for your use on one of the computers. Linn County Genealogies
We also have file cabinets which hold the source materials for the 40-volume series Linn County, Oregon Pioneer Settlers Donation Land Claims to 1855. This unique series of books, compiled and written over a period of 25 years by Richard Milligan and John Miles, contains information on each of the 1,130 Donation Land Claims granted in Linn County, along with detailed genealogies of the claimants and their descendants. plus additional materials on later families.
Here is another view of our library showing the study carrells, periodical rack and CD collection available to our patrons and visitors. |
